Neptun

Neptun, Gdańsk | HINES | concept design 2008 | RMJM

gross area 48 000 m2

The site analysis of high-rise building in place of the existing
department store ‘Neptun’ in Gdansk-Wrzeszcz. The project
considers a mixed-use complex, containing high-rise (150m)
office tower, a public plaza and an amenity pavilion above a
subway crossing under Grunwaldzka Street. The building was
designed as sustainable, by employing the site exposition and
sustainable design solutions.
The analysis was used for a revision of a local area plan, as a
result, allowing the high-rise building location on the site.
I am a co-author of the design by RMJM London and Warsaw
office. I coordinated the project with the local authorities in
Gdansk and I dealt with the Client.
